A backless counter stool slides under the counter when it's not in use, which keeps the kitchen reading open instead of crowded. The Jasper Counter Stool does both jobs well.

Crafted from solid white oak in a rich brown finish, its clean backless silhouette and substantial proportions read as both modern and timeless. The seat height pairs naturally with standard counter heights; the form sits comfortably in everything from a contemporary loft to a classic kitchen.

Line three across a kitchen island, anchor a bar-height counter, or mix one in beside a workspace. The Jasper earns its keep quietly.

Materials

Oak is a proven specification for high-use seating and casegoods. Its tight grain resists denting and surface wear better than most hardwoods, and it holds joinery exceptionally well. White oak, used on select pieces, has a closed grain that gives a cleaner surface and outstanding moisture resistance.

  • Solid oak (select panels in oak veneer for dimensional stability)
  • Crafted using traditional woodworking techniques
  • Fully assembled
  • Imported

Care

  • Heat and moisture can damage wood and wood veneers. Hot or cold items will react with the wood surface and can create discoloration or other marks.
  • Sharp objects and abrasive materials will scratch the surface — use felt pads under all objects placed on the piece.
  • Try to maintain consistent humidity as fluctuations can cause wood to expand and contract or warp.
  • For daily care, dust with a dry, soft cloth. If spills occur, blot immediately and wipe with a dry cloth.
  • We recommend avoiding the use of cleaners as they contain chemicals that may tarnish or damage the finish.
  • Please be sure to use a coaster, trivet, or placemat when necessary to protect the finish.
  • To protect the surface from stains and minor scratching, consider applying a matte furniture varnish of your choosing.
  • Allow new pieces to acclimate to your home's temperature and humidity for 24–48 hours before placing in their final position, particularly in heated or air-conditioned spaces.
  • Solid wood expands and contracts with changes in climate. Shrinking of the wood can result in hairline cracks, called checks, in the assembly joints or the grain of the wood itself. This does not affect the structural integrity of the frame's construction.
